Maternity Photography at Beach

Fort Myers Naples Maternity Photography at Beach

When Alice first met us at Parent Child Expo this past June at Germain Arena where we have been doing an annual photographic art display for the past 8 years, she was very much pregnant with her third child and had asked us to do a maternity photoshoot at Fort Myers Beach. She was only a few weeks away from her expected due date. We were very much surprised she was that far along and normally our schedule doesn’t allow such quick scheduling.  In most cases the idea time to capture maternity photos are between 28 and 32 weeks. This is because of water retention that causes puffiness and swelling in face and feet.

Alice was a different scenario, she looked amazing and didn’t have the usual swelling. She wanted something on the beach and loved our art work of families and children on display. “Your work is different and looks like paintings” she told us. Yes, that is a common statement and one we strive for in each session. Personal art for each client’s home!

Here are some of the images we produced that evening with her family.

Alice has since had her sweet daughter and a newborn blog is sure to follow. 😉

“My Lips Are Sealed”

Little Jace came into studio with his three brothers for a newborn photography session and was so adorable he had to be photographed individually. Obliviously it was the right decision, and international print merit doesn’t come easy!

“Asking For Answers”

Aren’t we all asking for answers, this image is special because it’s Barb’s brother and shortly after he had a heart attack while at work. Another reminder that life is precious and time stops for no one.

Billy is a minister and a talented musician, he has since recovered and is doing well.

Here at SandBar we are always looking for unique subjects, ideas or people to photograph. It helps us to constantly push our limits of creativity and keep on top of our industry. If you or someone you know would like to model for us please feel free to send us a picture thru email or give us a call.

Amusing Easter Game for Family

Digital Hot Potato Fun Photo Game

Pull out a camera with a timer for this twist on a classic party game that produces priceless keepsakes.

Hot Potato Digital Fun

Hot Potato Digital Fun

As a Children’s Photographer, I am always looking for creative ways to document family gatherings and capture fun moments.

Many times I  give McKenzie, my 5 yr old granddaughter,  one of my small digital cameras and let her take photos from her perspective.

I found a little camera game that will catch unexpected moments and  wanted to share something FUN to do with Family this Easter Sunday.

The above ‘selfie’ of McKenzie was caught during the game.

How to play

  1. To Play: The first player sets the camera timer for the longest setting available and starts the countdown. He points the camera at himself for a couple of seconds, then passes it to the person on his left. The other players do the same until the camera snaps a shot. The person whose photo is taken must share it with the group, then perform a forfeit or tell something funny about himself before play resumes. The last person to avoid having his picture taken wins.
